Traditional Greek zazziki sauce made of yogurt, cucumbers and herbs! Greek Dzadziki is perfect as an appetizer for meat and fish dishes.
Ingredients per serving
- Yogurt 12 tablespoons
 - Fresh cucumbers 6 units
 - Garlic 3 cloves
 - Dill 6 teaspoons
 - Ground black pepper to taste
 - Salt to taste
 - Olive oil 3 teaspoons
 
Step by step instructions
- Rinse dill well with water. Dry and finely chop.
 - Wash cucumber under running water, peel it and grate. (If you have a cucumber with thin skin you can not peel it).
 - We add a pinch of salt to the grated cucumber and leave it for a couple of minutes.
 - Peel the garlic and chop in a garlic press. (You can also grate them on a grater).
 - Next, squeeze the juice from the cucumbers and transfer the pulp to a bowl. To the cucumber add yogurt, herbs, garlic, pepper and salt.
 - Stir well and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
 - Serve the zajiki sauce with olive oil!
 
Recommendations
- When choosing yogurt, choose natural and thick yogurt.
 - You can also add lemon juice, wine vinegar, and dried mint to taste.
