Recently, I stumbled upon Community Coffee’s Café Special Decaf Ground Coffee, and I gotta say, it was a real eye-opener. I hadn’t heard a ton about Community Coffee before, but their backstory piqued my interest – a family-run business that’s been around for a century? That kind of history usually means they care about what they’re doing, so I was hoping for good things.

First impressions? The smell. Not that weak, vaguely cardboard-y scent you sometimes get with decaf. Nope, this was a rich, inviting aroma with a hint of something sweet – almost like honey. The bag boasts caramel and cocoa notes, and honestly, I was already feeling that warm, cozy vibe.
Taste Time!
I brewed this bad boy in my trusty pour-over (although the bag says it’s awesome for drip, cold brew, or even a French press). The result? A smooth cup with a nice, medium-dark body. And here’s the kicker, folks: it actually tasted like coffee! No weird chemical tang, no watery disappointment. The caramel and cocoa were subtle, but they added a lovely depth.
